Question: How Do Ships Enter The Port?
Answer
: Ships carrying passengers or dry cargo are required to take a guide in their entry and exit procedures from the port. They can easily enter and exit with a guide.

Question: Which Ships Have to Take Tugboats When Entering the Port?
Answer
: According to the port laws, it has been determined which ships are obliged to take tugboats. Accordingly, ships smaller than 2000 GT can move without a tugboat. Ships larger than 2000 GT must buy tugboats.

: There are two concrete silos in the port area and their total capacity is 70,000 tons.

Question: Does Izmir Port Offer Passenger Services?
Answer
: Izmir port serves as a passenger terminal. Since Izmir and the Aegean region contain many touristic places, it serves as a passenger terminal from the port to touristic places.

Question: Who is the current owner or operator of the Izmir Port or Izmir Port?
Answer: Since 1964, İzmir port has been operated by Denizcilik Bankası as a State enterprise. With the decision taken by the High Planning Council, it was decided to transfer the port management to TCDD on 16.12.1988. The transfer transactions were made as of January 1, 1989 and it continues to be operated by TCDD today.
